Metastasis Mechanism Of Tcm Basic Theory Research

This article has first made the systematical review to the tumor metastasis by two aspects. In the research of western medicine, there are several metastatic routes, including blood dissemination, lymph dissemination and so on, and various effect factor of each route have been researched. In the research of traditional Chinese medicine, there are not enough information about the cognition of tumor metastasis in the previous literature. Under the influence of the western medicine cognition and the confine of historical condition, the researches, which refer to the western medicine criteria, presently focus on the body of asthenia of healthy energy and stagnation of blood in experiment and in clinic. So the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine of tumor metastasis has been scarcely discussed.According to the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine, the data which tumors metastasize to entrails and organs have been collected. It came from the database of National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and the database of Chinese technological periodical, complying with certain inclusion criteria, and obtained after been sorted and edited. The all tumor of entrails and organs has been classified in the light of the characteristic of Wu Xing.The relationship between the specific property of tumor and physical ability has been analyzed in terms of the different metastasis of entrails and organs. Conclusion: there are impossible tumors in fire entrails (i.g. heart). But there are more metastatic tumors in water entrails (i.g. kidney) than others. Whether or not tumors metastasize is scarcely relative the characteristic of entrails and its Wu Xing attribute. But simple conclusion implied that'disorder of mother-organ involving its child-organ'is more difficult than'illness of the child-organ affecting the mother-organ', and'subjugation'is easier than'reverse restriction'in the relationship of tumor metastasis from one entrails to another. In term of interior and exterior organ, suggested that metastasis from ZANG-organ to FU-organ is easily, and vice versa. For complexity and lack of information, the relationship between WU ZANG and periphery organ partly have been discussed. Other matter (i.g. constitution, nature circumstance) have been mainly discussed by the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine.
