This dissertation has two parts, the first part is about the chemical change during the decoction of the compound prescription of traditional Chinese medicine which including kushen. The second part is about the synthesis study of Danshensu derivatives .In the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), the Radix Sophorae Flavescentis is one of the most useful herbs. In the compound prescription of the TCM , Chemical changes have found in the decoction of the Radix Sophorae Flavescentis with other herbs. Qualitative compare the chromatograms of decoctions of single herbs and compound decoction of pair herbs by HPLC. Quantitative determine the oxymatrine and matrine in the decoction of compound prescription of the TCM which includes Radix Sophorae Flavescentis. The concentration of oxymatrine is decreased, and the matrine is increased during the decoction of the compound prescription Also there are some constituents were disappeared and some new constituents were created during the decoction. The conclusion is that there are oxidation and reduction reaction has happened, in which the oxymatrine was reduced to the matrine, while the other constituents was oxidized to the new compounds.Phenylpropanoic acid derivatives is existing in many plants. Thay are widely used in many field such as medical science , chemical industry , agriculture pesticides, daily chemical products, etc. In the second part, we study the synthesis methods of typical phenylpropanoic acid derivatives and salvianic acid A, and try to use baker yeast as a chiral reducing agent to get chiral salvianic acid A. By optimizing the conditions of reaction, we got cinnamic acid, ferulic acid, isoferulic acid and β -phenylpropionic acid with high yield. Finally, attempt to combine them to form salvianolic acid derivatives.
