Studies On Chemical Constituents Of Eucommia Seed

In the professional subject is made of two parts. One part is studying on the chemical constituents of the seeds of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv. Another part is HPLC determination of chlorogenic acid content in the seeds of Eucommia ulmoides.In the first part we make use of normal regulations pillar layer chromatogram method to carry out a systematic research on the chemical constituents of the seeds of Eucommia ulmoides. Four compounds were achieved using separation methods. Three of them were elucidated by the means of spectroscopy(UV> IR> MS etc.) assisted by comparing with standard substance and constants. Three constituents were: aucubin, sucrose, daucosterol.We study the stability of Aucubin in different conditions and by different ways.We amended the method of HPLC to determine the content of Aucubin in seeds of Eucommia ulmoides. In addition we adopted HPLC-ELSD method to make a series investigate on the content of Aucubin in different parts of Eucommia ulmoides. This method is more stable and accurate, less interfere than before.In the second part, we use HPLC method to determine the content of chlorogenic acid in the seeds of Eucommia ulmoides dried by different ways and storing for different time.
