Seasonal Clinical Research, Taking Banxiaxiexin Soup Together Famotidine To Prevent Peptic Ulcer Recurrence

Objective: To observe the clinical cffect of prevent peptic ulcer from recrudescing with Traditional Chinese medicine Ban-Xia-Xie-Xin-Tang and Westem medicine famotidine and to Explore the mechanism.Methods: 110 cases of healed PU are divided into three groups. the Chinese-western medicine prophylaxis group (group 1),the western medicine prophylaxis group ( group 2 ) and the control group. Group 1 was treated with Ban-Xia-Xie-Xin-Tang and famotidine for 7 days in November and March. Group 2 was treated with famotidine for 7 days in November and March..And the control group wasn't treated with anything.Compare the concrescence rate of them.Results: There is significant difference of ulcer concrescence rate among the three groups. The semiyearly recrudescence rate of group 1 was 5.3%, and the yearly recrudescence rate was 10.5%; The semiyearly recrudescence rate of group 2 was 19.4%, and the yearly recrudescence rate was 30.6%. The semiyearly recrudescence rate of the control group was 44.4%, and the yearly recrudescence rate was 69.4%.Conclusion: The results showed that Ban-Xia-Xie-Xin-Tang and famotidine can effectively prevent peptic ulcer from recrudescing. The mechanism of Ban-Xia-Xie-Xin-Tang was regarded to protecting gastric mucous membrance, adjusting gastric peristalsis, adjusting immunity function, eradicating Hp and adjusting gastroenteric incretion.
