Chinese Hawthorn is the dry mature fruit of Craraegus pinnatiflda Bge.var.major N.E.Br. or Craraegus pinnatiflda Bge.. The main function of Chinese Hawthorn is promoting digestion and invigorating stomach. In these years, there are so many articles to report the curative effect about heart-blood vessel used by the leaves of Chinese Hawthorn. The flavones and triterpenes of Chinese Hawthorn leaves, which are known for their beneficial effects in increasing cardiac contractility and improving cardiac efficiency, have also been shown to prevent the leakage of intracellular enzymes upon ischemic injury and to possess protective activities against arrhythmias. The author has investigated the chemical constituents and its quality determination of the leaves of Craraegus pinnatiflda Bge..In this thesis, the chemical constituents of the extracts with 80 % ethanol-water from the leaves of Craraegus pinnatiflda Bge. were studied. 16 compounds were isolated with silica gel, polyamide, Sephadex LH-20 and preparation HPLC, etc. On the basis of analysis of UV, NMR, MS data and measuring of physic-chemical characters, the chemical structures of 14 compounds were elucidated as 2α,3β,19α-trihydroxyl ursolic acid (1), ursolic acid (2) , vitexin (3), 2"-O-rhamnosyl vitexin (4), shanyenoside A (5), kaempferol (6), quercetin (7), 3-O-β-D-galacopyanosyl quercetin (8), 3-O-β-D-glucopyanosyl quercetin (9), rutin(10), β-sitosterol (11), daucosterol (12), hexadecanoic acid (13), p-nitrophenol (14). Of all these compounds, compound 5 was a new compound, and compound 1 was isolated for the first time from Crataegus. To establish the quality determination method for the leaves of Craraegus pinnatiflda Bge. and their extracts. In this thesis, the author used the ultraviolet spectrophotometry to determine the total...
