Nourishing Yin Treatment Of Wang-menopausal Syndrome Clinical Studies

Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of Zi Yin Jiang Huo Fang on patients suffering from Menopausal Syndrome caused by Deficiency of Yin and Excess of Fire .Try to explore its potential mechanism.Method: 40 cases of patients were enrolled and randomly divided into two groups and in the end 36 patients completed the whole treatment .The therapy group (21) was treated by Zi Yin Jiang Huo Fang, the control group (16) was treated by placebo . The treatment period was 8 weeks . We observed the changes of the vary of the clinical symptoms' scores using Kupperman perimenopausal Scales and tested the level of serum estradiol and follicle stimulating hormone before and after the whole treatment.Results: The totally effective rate of the therapy group is 70. 00% and thecontrol group is 31.25% with statistical difference (P<0. 05) . In the therapygroup the kupperman scores were decrease (P<0. 05)and the scores of thecontrol group didn't decreased statistically (P>0.05) .The mainsymptoms:flush, sweating, insomnia in the therapy group were relieved(P<0.05), while in the control group these symptoms weren't relieved(P>0.05) . The level of serum estradiol and follicle stimulating hormonein both groups didn't change statistically(P>0.05).Conclusion: Zi Yin Jiang Huo Fang could relief the clinical symptoms and delay the retrogression proceeding of ovary and keep the body in balance. Clearing away the heart-fire and nourishing the kidney yin could be regarded as one of effective ways in treatment of MPS.
