Clinical Study Of TheraPeutie Effete Of Geng Nian Xin Fang On Patients Suffering From MenoPausal Syndrome Caused By Deficiency Of Yin And Excess Of Fire

objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of Geng Nian Xin Fang on patients suffering from Menopausal Syndrome caused by Deficiency of Yin and Excess of Fire, by Deficiency of Yin and Yang, by Deficiency of Yin with phlegm-dampness , by Deficiency of Yin with blood stasis .Try to explore its potential mechanism.Method: 63 cases of patients were enrolled and divided into four groups. I group was composed of 18 cases with Deficiency of Yin and Excess of Fire, was treated by Geng Nian Xin Fang; II group was composed of 14 cases with Deficiency of Yin and yang, was treated by Geng Nian Xin Fang added Xian Mao and Xian Ling Pi;III group was composed of 15 cases with Deficiency of Yin with phlegm-dampness, was treated by Geng Nian Xin Fang added Chen Pi and Cang Zhu;IV group were 16 cases with Deficiency of Yin with blood stasis, were treated by Geng Nian Xin Fang added Hong Hua and Wu Ling Zhi. The treatment period was 2 months. We observed the changes of the vary of the clinical symptoms' scores using Kupperman Perimenopausal Scales and tested the level of serum estradiol,follicle stimulating hormone and Luteinizing hormone before and after the whole treatment. And to research the relevance between clinical efficacy and age, duration, duration and course of treatment.Results: The main symptoms of each group were improved significantly after treatment (P< 0.01) , and there was no significant difference in four groups; the symptoms and folders were also improved to a certain degree (P<0.05) ; total score of patients' were significantly lower after treatment (P<0. 01) . The total effective rate of the four groups was respectively 100%, 92.31%, 93.75%, 93.33%.The effective rate of I group was higher than the other three groups. Geng Nian Xin Fang can increase the level of serum E2, LH and FSH levels were lower after treatment, but no statistical significance. (P > 0.05)Conclusion: Geng Nian Xin Fang can relief the clinical symptoms and delay the retrogression proeeeding of ovary and keep the body in balance. Geng Nian Xin Fang could be regarded as one of effective Prescription in treatment of MPS.
