| Multiple Tics is a kind of chronic neural and mental disorder mainly occurring in childhood. The suffered children manifest repeated convulsion of muscles accompanying behavior, psychological and mental disorders in the clinic features. The exact cause of this disease is uncertain, however, it has been proved that its pathogenic factors are mental, heredity and neurotransmitter's metabolic disorders and the later is especially associated with some monoamine neurotransmitters, such as DA, 5-HIAA, NE etc. Since Haloperidol, which has been the first choose for MT in clinical treatment of western medicine, had severe side-effects, Professor Zhang has developed the new formula: Jing' an oral liquid basing on the understanding to MTs cause, mechanism and the principle of treatment with syndrome differentiation of TCM and his clinical experience for many years. Considering the liver wind and the phlegm-fire as the main pathologic factors, Professor Zhang established the basic treatment measures, that is, nourishing the kidney and fostering Yin, pacifying the liver to extinguish wind, deleting depression and dissolving phlegm, clearing the heart-heat and calming the mind. He prescripted formula of Jing' an oral liquid( constitute: rehmannia root, white peony root, gastrodia tuber, gambir plant, scorpion, earthworm, turmeric root tuber, stiff silkworm). Above-mentioned 8 herbs mostly have the pharmacologic function of the central nervous system, such as sedative-hypnotic effect and promoting the learning memory etc. On the bases of our clinical study of treating MT with TCM, and in order to further confirm curative effect and mechanisms of Jing' an oral liquid. We studied pharmacology of Jing' an oral liquid from 4 aspects: sedation and hypnosis, anticonvulsant, improving memory and promoting immunization. Moreover, we studied the curative mechanism of Jing' an oral liquid with method of molecular biology. In the first part of this thesis, we treated 22 patients with mainly using the tutor's prescription by modificating syndrome differentiation and 20 patients with tiapride. Result: Jing' an oral liquid's cure rate is good compared with tiapride(P<0.05).The second part was to investigate pharmacology of Jing' an oral liquid. (1) sedation and anticonvulsant action: we observed the autonomic activity and improving sleep in combination with Pentobarbital-sodium in mice. antagonism of Jing' an oral liquid were observed in convulsion mice induced by sodium glutamate, pentylenetetrazol (PTZ) and electric stimulation. (2) improvement learning and memory :we observed the learning and memory disorder induced by scopolamine and... |
