It has the effect to enrich blood, regulate menstruation, and reduce pain, and used to treat abnormal menstruation and menstrual period abdominal pain.This study covers the process of extracting and preparation. After systematic study on the procedure of production six batches' of middle-sized experimental production were carried on. The result indicated that the preparation procedure of the production is reasonable and feasible. Based on the quality study of the product, quality control standard was set up, and also the preliminary study on the stability of this product indicated that the preparation is stable and the quality is controllable.Process research: The orthogonal testing method is used to study the best extracting method for volatile oil (the raw material was grand to fine powder, 16 times of material quantities of water was added, the distillation continues for 6 hours) ; The orthogonal testing method is also used to study the water extracting the active ingredient (The optimum condition were 10 and 8 times volume of water, extracted twice,3 and 2 hours for each time respectively) ; The best condition of volatile oil packaged with β-CD was also studied using the orthogonal testing method (volatile oil:β-CD(ml/g) is 1: 8, for 3 hours; The temperature is 40 ℃.) By observation of the influence of relative density of the thick paste and different type of supplementary material to formulation the amount of supplementary material was used, and also the product cost was reduced greatly.
