OBJECTIVE: To investigate the preventive effects of the ulcerative colitis of the extraction of Geranium wilfordii maxim prescription and its therapeutic mechanism. RESULT: The model group of the colon mucous membrane ulcer changed were seen under microscope, the body weight decreased remarkably, the spleen weight, the intestine weight and the colon mucous membrane injured index increased remarkably, the content of MDA and the activity of CAT increased remarkably in blood serum, the content of MDA increased remarkably and the activity of CAT decreased in the colon mucous membrane .Through Statistics, there are markedly different compared with normal group; The preventive group of the activity of SOD increased remarkably in the colon mucous membrane compared with model group, the other indexes had not different; SASP group and the high dosage group of the body weight increased remarkably, the spleen weight, the intestine weight and the colon mucous membrane injured index decreased remarkably, the activity of SOD increased remarkably in blood serum, the content of MDA decreased and the activity of SOD increased remarkably in the colon mucous membrane, but the content of CAT, MDA had not remarkably different compared with model group in blood serum; The low dosage group of the spleen weight index decreased remarkably compared with model group, the activity of SOD increased remarkably, the activity of CAT decreased remarkably in blood serum, the content of MDA decreased remarkably and the activity of SOD increased remarkably in the colon mucous membrane, the other indexes had not...
