The information of their age, gender, length of sickness were all subjected to statistical analysis and hypothesis tests with P >0.05 considered as significant and comparable to their clinical effects. Based on gender, there were 21 males and 44 females selected. as cases that agreed with"the criteria of diagnosis and therapeutic effect of diseases and syndromes in traditional Chinese medicine".Out of the 35 treatment group cases, there were 13 males and 22 females. Their age group ranged between 16-75 year (average 51.81±16.014). Their length of sickness ranged between 0.1 month to 25 years with an average length of 5.35±6.181. There were 26 cases for treatment required on one leg while for treatment on both legs, there were 9 cases. For the control group, out of the 30 cases, there were 8 males and 22 females. Their age group ranged between 19-74 (average 56.14±12.459). Their length of sickness ranged between 0.1month to 23 years with an average length of 6.06±6.725. There were 18 cases for treatment required on one leg while for treatment on both legs, there were 12 cases. The treatment period was from 16 May 2004 to 9 January 2006. The length of clinical treatment for the treatment group was between 21-49 days (average 34.30±9.436) while the control group was 28-70days (average 50.87±14.583).
