Periploca forrestii Schltr belongs to the species of Asclepiadancae in Periploca Linn. and is mainly distributed in Southwest China, Qing Hai province, Guang Xi province and Tibet. This plant can be used to promote blood circulation, expel wind-evil and remove wetness and detoxicate. This thesis made a systemic study on the chemical constituents of Periploca forrestii Schlt. The EtOH extracts of Periploca forrestii Schlt was extracted by P.ether, CHCl3, EtOAc and n-BuOH by turns. We Used Chromatographic methods to isolate compounds from Periploca forrestii Schltr in the CHCl3 layer and EtOAc layer, and elucidated their structures by spectral methods (GC-MS,1H-NMR,13C-NMR) .There were 11 compounds purified from the chloroform layer and EtOAc layer. Seven compounds had been identified at present, and they are Emodinmono methyl ether (I),β-sitosterol (II),N-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-Acetamide (III),3-propyl anisole (IV),Ursolic acid (V),β-daucosterol (VI) and Periplogenin (VII) .The other 4 compounds' structures remain to be identified. Among them, Compounds (I)~(IV) were isolated from Periploca forrestii Schltr for the first time, and Compounds (III) and (IV) were obtained from Periploca Linn. for the first time.
