Heiguteng is a crude drug plant of Periploca forrestii Schltr. of Asclepiadacea. The root or the whole plant can be used as medicine, the treatment effects of promoting blood circulation, stimulating the menstrual flow, detoxify, dispel the wind were recorded in the quality standards of Guizhou province Chinese herbal medicines. In additional, Periploca forrestii Schltr. was widely used in practical application in treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, traumatic injury, irregular menstruation symptoms, Periploca forrestii Schltr. was main distribution in western and southern regions such as Guizhou, Guangxi, Sichuan, Qinghai, Tibet and other places of China.forrestii Schltr. has not quality control specification, so it was not meet the practical application and development. These development and utilization were restricted by the ill-defined problem, in order to make a better evaluation of the quality of the forrestii Schltr. to promote the further development and to use, we used the modern analysis and evaluation methods to standardize the quality evaluation model of the forrestii Schltr. in this paper. The result of the study provided a theoretical basis and technical support for the quality control and further development of the forrestii Schltr.PartⅠStudy on the Fingerprint Chromatogram of Periploca forrestii Schltr.HPLC analysis method was used to study the Fingerprint Chromatogram of forrestii Schltr. The study investigated extraction and chromatographic conditions to set up the HPLC fingerprint method, and the 12 batches of different origin of forrestii Schltr. were determined. We used the Similarity evaluation system for chromatographic fingerprints of traditional Chinese medicine A Edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission, and clustering analysis using SPSS. The analysis results indicate that similar origin of medicine basically was classified one groups, these results show that forrestii Schltr. has great relevance with environment.PartⅡStudy on the Bioactivity of Periploca forrestii Schltr. The pharmacological experiment of antirheumatoid arthritis was carried out on the 12 batch of 80% extracts from different habitats. In this experiment, we used the anti-rheumatoid arthritis(AA) model of rats with complete adjuvant. Primary rat ankle joint swelling diameter, rats of lateral ankle secondary inflammatory diameter, each batches of rats weight, thymus, spleen, adrenal gland, ankle out liquid adrenal prostaglandin E2(PGE2) as the determination of indicators. The effects of different habits of the forrestii Schltr. on the pathogenesis of rats were observed.PartⅢ Study of the spectrum-effect RelationshipBased on the research, the fingerprint and the pharmacological data of anti-heumatoid arthritis model and the 80% ethanol extract of the crude drug. Using analyse method of gray correlation silkvine stem fingerprint and pharmacodynamics of the 12 batch of different places. And determined the contribution efficacy silkvine stem refers to the main peak against rheumatoid arthritis.PartⅣ Optimization of ultrasound-assisted extraction of Periploca forrestii Schltr. In this section, we studied the extraction technology of total polyphenols from forrestii Schltr. the extraction rate and inhibition rate were extracted by using the extraction rate of total polyphenols from forrestii Schltr. and the inhibition of the activity of hyaluronic acid by enzymatic decomposition of sodium hyaluronate. On the basis of the single factor optimization, the extraction process parameters of total polyphenols from forrestii Schltr. were obtained by using response surface method. The parameters were: ethanol solvent concentration was 57.33%, ultrasonic time was 33.33 min, the amount of solvent was 16.11 m L·g-1. Under the optimal extraction conditions, the extration ratio was 60.30 ± 0.10 mg·g-1, and the 50% anti-allergic inhibitory concentration of total polyphenols from the forrestii Schltr. was 32.64 ± 0.09 μg·g-1.
