| OBJECTIVE:The goal of this clinical experiment is to probe the mechanism andtherapeutic effect of Shen ShuaiⅣon treating chronic renalfailure(CRF), and search a effectual method of TCM in treating CRF.METHODS:60 patients with CRF(Chronic renal failure) were divided into 2 groupsat random Shen ShuaiⅣtherapeutic group (Group A, n=30).Ai Xite controlgroup (Group B, n=30).According to the requirement of disease both groupswere treated with controlling blood pressure, correcting acid-baseimbalance. Group A took Shen ShuaiⅣformulae, one bag everyday add waterto cook to 300ml, P.O warmly two times daily at morning and evening. GroupB tookAi Xite three times daily, 1.2g each time. The therapeutic periodis two months. Before and after the experiment, we assayed the patient's blood & urine routine examination, 24 hours urinary protein quantities,renal function group, blood biochemical criterion, albumen. The changesof patients' clinical symptoms were recorded. At last the difference oftherapeutic effect between group A and group B were observed.RESTULT:Result of the study could be summarized as:1. Group A total effective rates were 83.33％; while group B was 66.66％;the total therapeutic effect of group A was. better than that of group B(p＜0.05).2. Shen ShuaiⅣcould improve the patients' clinical symptoms, theeffect was better than group B (p＜0.05 or p＜0.01).3. There was significant difference between before and after treatmentsof the BUN,Scr and 24hupq of group A. P＜0.05),and there was no significantdifference between before and after treatments of the 24hupq of groupB(P＞0.05), there was significant difference between before and after treatments of the BUN,Scr scores of group B, which indicated that twogroups could improve renal function, and group A was better than group B.4. There was no significant difference between before and after treatmentsof the K of group A (P＞0.05), but there was significant difference betweenCa,P,CO2-cp of group A (p＞0.05), There was no significant differencebetween before and after treatments of theK,CO2-CP of group B (P＞0.05),but there was significant difference between Ca,P of group B (p＞0.05 orp＜0.01).5. There was no significant difference between before and after treatmentsof the ALT of group A (P＞0.05), but there was great significant differencebetween Hb,ALB of group A (p＞0.01), There was no significant differencebetween before and after treatments of the Hb,ALB,ALT of group B (P＞0.05),which indicated that group A was better than group B.6. Safety inspection: There was not abnormal change by inspecting stoolroutine and liver function during the treatment period. The ECG wasstability or improvement after the treatment. The abnormal parameterbefore treatment had not been aggravated after treatment, All theseindicated that Shen ShuaiⅣhad not harmful reaction, and it was safetyin the course of clinical application.CONCLUSION:This clinical experiment indicated that Shen ShuaiⅣcouldefficiently improve renal function and clinical symptoms, decreaseurinary protein, adjust calcium-phosphorus metabolism. Shen ShuaiⅣtherapy could markedly retard the rate of progression of CRF. Thisclinical experiment indicated that Shen ShuaiⅣhas very goodtherapeutic effect. |
