There are two parts in this article.Part 1 are two overviews. Overview 1 introduces the study overview of Chinese medicine to diabetes mellitus complicating coronary heart disease(CHD) from etiological factor, pathogenesis, pattern of syndrome, treatment based on syndrome differentiation, animal experiment. Overwiew 2 introduces the study of western medicine to diabetes mellitus complicating CHD on risk factor, clinic feature, biochemistry factor, drug, treatment of bracket, animal experiment.Part 2 is clinic study. Aim: To study the feature of opacification of coronary artery, feature of syndrome of chinese medicine between DM complicating CHD and CHD . To analyze the relationship between the result of opacification of coronary artery and the complications of DM. Methods: To collect the data of medical history of the in patients who were in internal medical department of recirculating system and whose results of opacification of coronary artery is detail, then to divide the data into two groups, Group DM and Group Non-DM. To compare the clinic basical data, pathological changes feature of coronary artery, feature of chinese medical syndrome between the two groups statistically. Results: There is no significant deviation in gender, age, hypertension, abnormality of blood fat, smoking, drinking wine, smoking with drinking wine between the two groups.The pathological changes of Group DM are more severe than that of Group Non-DM. There is no significant deviation in the distribution of syndrome of blood stasis, syndrome of deficiency of Qi, syndrome of sputum, syndrome of stagnation of Qi between the two groups. There is also no significant deviation in the dependablity between the chinese medical syndrome and Group DM, and the dependablity between that and Group Non-DM. The main chinese medical syndrome is syndrome of deficiency of Qi, blood stasis, sputum. There is no significant deviation in the dependablity of chinese medical symptoms, tongue coating, pulse pattern between the two groups. Red tongue in Group DM is less than that in Group Non-DM. Chest distress is the most common symptom in Group DM, while chest pain, breath obstruction, debility, bad sleep, palpitation, dry mouth are also the common ones. Light dim tongue, dark tongue, dark red tongue are common tongue texture. White greasy tongue coat, thin white tongue coat, yellow greasy tongue coat are common tongue coating. Taut pulse, taut and slippery pulse, taut and thready pulse, deep and thready pulse are common pulse pattern.Conclusion: DM complicating CHD has its own feature, while its chinese medical syndrome is similar to CHD's.
