Radix Scutellaria is the dry root of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi Willd .Its property is bitter,tiny cold. It enters the channels of lung and gallbladder .It has the effects of compromising with the exterior and interior, dispersing the depressed liver-energy and activating the yang-energy.There are processed products-cleaned Radix Scutellaria used in clinic. This text has studied the craft and quality controlling methods of processed products. According to the request of "the technological scheme" of the "tenth five-year project" -the standardization study of 30 sorts of TCM sliced medicinal herbs. We make out the craft and quality standard of wined medicinal herbs of Radix Scutellaria.In the craft of water, we chose three methods. In the processing craft of wined Radix Scutellaria, we chose three factors of the quatity of auxiliary, time of stuffy and smooth, the temperature of joining drink slice and hot time to evaluate by synthesized with valid composition of Bacailein.In the research of quantity standard, we try spectrum discrimina- tion .The spectrum discrimination make use of the method of ultraviolet spectrum by four kinds of different solvent to withdraw valid compos- ition of cleaned Radix Scutellaria and wined Radix Scutellaria to scan in ultraviolet. the method is simple, reappearance, good. In measuring the ingredients, HPLC method is used to measure valid composition of Bacailein. The mobile phase is methyl alcohol- water- calcium phosphate (47:53:0.2) .The detector wavelength is 280 nm. The flow is 1 ml/ min .The method is simple, rapid and reliable.
