| Objective:To study the effects of diet intervention on children physical growth and development in communities.Methods:140 healthy children were randomly selected from Chengdu community, and the weight,height,chest circumference and head circumference were measured for all children.All the children were classified into 2 age groups,Among each group 35 children received 12 months dietary intervention by the methods of food and behavior,the other 35 children were used as control.Results:the data of the weight,height,chest circumference and head circumference significantly increased after intervention.Conclusion:The diet intervention carried out to children in community can improve their physical growth and development. |
