Objectives:To assess the efficacy of Xiaojin Wan in the treatment of the chronic nonbacterial prostatitis and explore the mechanism of alleviating the prostatitis pain from clinical and experimental aspect. Methods:Clinical study:80 patients suffered from CNP were randomly divided into two groups,40 cases in the treatment group received Xiaojin Wan and 40 cases in the control group received Celecoxib Capsules. The research duration was 4 weeks.CPSI scale was used to evaluate the efficacy.Experiment research:Use glacial acetic acid induced rats writhing test. The rats were divided into five groups:blank group, control group(Celecoxib Capsules group),Xiaojin Wan high/middle/low dose group.Observe the restraining result of the writhen rats. The chronic nonbacterial prostatitis pain model rats were injected Complete Freund's adjuvant(CFA) into the ventral part of prostate. These rats were divided into six groups:blank group, model group, control group(Celecoxib Capsules group),Xiaojin Wan high/middle/low dose group. After 4 weeks' research duration, detect the changes of NGF and COX-2 expression in the prostate tissue with immunohistochemical technique and graphics video analysis system. Results:The average scores of pain symptom in CPSI scale of Xiaojin Wan group decreased;Xiaojin Wan can significantly reduce the frequency of glacial acetic acid induced rats writhing; The expression of NGF and COX-2 in the chronic nonbacterial prostatitis pain rats' prostate tissues was as follows:Xiaojin Wan high dose group, middle dose group and the control group were significantly lower than the model group(P<0.01).Conclusions:Xiaojin Wan can alleviate the chronic nonbacterial prostatitis pain, and has a remarkable analgesic function;Xiaojin Wan may alleviate the chronic nonbacterial prostatitis pain by inhibiting the expression of NGF and COX-2 in prostate tissue.
