The incidence of fhe digestive system disease is increasing year by year under the influence of many factors,such as the fast pace of life,environmental pollution,unhealthy diet,bad health habits and the aging of the population.The spectrum and popular trends of digestive disease were also corresponding changed.To have a better grasp of the characteristics and changing trends of the disease for guiding research and clinical work,the research in the spectrum and popular trends of the digestive diseases have got more and more attention.The analysis of hospitalized cases of digestive system is one of the important components.The literature review has two parts.Part of TCM:it mainly describes the progress of the study in the spleen and stomach theory.Which are summarized the perspective of famous ancient medical scientist in the etiology,pathogenesis,and treatment of spleen and stomach disease.Western literature review is a summary of progress for some of digestive diseases in epidemiological studies.These diseases include chronic gastritis,peptic ulcer,gastro esophageal reflux disease,hepatocirrhosis,digestive tumors,and ulcerative colitis.Part of clinical research:It collected 6976 cases of Department of Digestive Disease from 1982 to 2007 in Hospital of Dongzhimen.With the retrospective method to investigated and analyzed the disease-related information to describe the diseases constitute and age,sex,seasonal distribution and disease trends.The results are as follows:1 From the year of 1982 to 2007,the department had treated more patients of stomach,duodenum and liver disease than others.In which peptic ulcer,chronic gastritis,hepatocirrhosis,digestive tumors are more than other diseases,accounting for 65.24%.DU is in the largest proportion of PU,followed by GU.The most of hepatocirrhosis is vires-related cirrhosis,followed by alcoholic cirrhosis.The first of the digestive tumors is liver tumor,followed by stomach tumor.2 Lung infection,cerebrovascular disease,hypertension and diabetes are more in other system's disease in all cases.3 Female patients are more than male patients of digestive disease.The proportion of men and women is 1.92:1,which in the cases of duodenum,liver and esophageal disease men are two times more than women;Male cases of PU,hepatocirrhosis and digestive tumor are more than 2 times higher than that of women;Men more than women in stomach pain,tympanites and swelling of the liver over.4 Age of inpatients are on the rise in the department.The patients' age of esophageal and pancreatic disease is increasing.Middle-aged is high-risk population of duodenal disease.Stomach and intestinal diseases are usually occur in young and middle-aged;The high-risk population of hepatobiliary disease is in elderly.Middle-aged and young patients are more in chronic gastritis and peptic ulcer,the high-risk population of hepatocirrhosis of the liver and digestive tumors is in the elderly.Inpatients in the age of 40-59 are the most of hepatocirrhosis.Digestive tumor cases are increasing with age. 5 Spring and autumn is the multiple seasons of digestive system disease.Such as chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer,hepatocirrhosis,digestive system tumors are mainly occurred in spring and autumn. Seasonal incidence of various parts is proved meaningless in statistics.6 Hospitalized cases of digestive diseases has an upward trend overall.The cases of hepatocirrhosis and digestive tumors are increasing.Chronic gastritis and PU cases are decreasing.7 The top three diseases of TCM diagnosis are stomach pain,tympanites and swelling of the liver over. Stomach pain is the most common symptoms in the digestive diseases.Their sex,age,seasonal changes in distribution and trends are basically the same as the results of PU,chronic gastritis and hepatocirrhosis.Through this study,come to the common and frequently-occurring diseases and digestive diseases'trends and changes'laws of digestive diseases in department of digestive diseases.It not only can guide the future of disease prevention,treatment and research,but also can provide valuable recommendations for the department building,health care allocation of resource and developmental direction of department.
