Whole Leaf Senecio Chemical Composition (b)

S.cannabifolium Less. Var. integrifolius (Koidz.) Kitam whose another name is "Dan Ye Fan Hun Cao", is whole grass of a kind of plant belonging to Compositae Senecio. It distributes mainly in the North east and Hebei Province of China, Korea, Japan and far east squre of pre-Soviet Union. It functionally shows the effects on dispelling ecchymoma, anastalsis and analgesic. As one kind of folk medicine, it's usually used to treat the diseases, such as virus influenza , many kinds of inflammation, ophthalmic diseases and skin disease. The study on Chemical composition of S.cannabifolium Less. Var. integrifolius (Koidz.) Kitam was never reported.Five compounds were isolated and purfied by various chromatographic methods, such as silica gel column chromatography, reversed phase chromatography, Sephadex colum chromatography and so on, According to the spectrum analysis, physiochemical constant and the comparision with the literature data, the structure of the five compounds were identified. They are listed out as following: Chlorogenic acid, 4-hydroxy benzaldehyde, 4-hydroxy benzeneacetic acid , Caffeic acid,β-Sitosterol.
