Comparative Study On The Chemical Constituents Of Lonicereae Macrathoides Hands Mazz. And The Certified Honeysuckle

The medicinal material honeysuckle comes from the dried buds or primary flowers of Lonicerae japonica Thun., L. hypoglauce Miq., L. contusa DC., L. dasytyla Rehd. Which belong to the Capritolialeae family. Honeysuckle is not only a usual medicine which can clear away heat and toxic material,expel wind and heat ,but also an important raw material which can be used in health drinks, food and chemical industry. With the increasing demand at home and abroad, the market is promosing.L. macrathoides Hands Mazz., also called liked big flower Lonicerae japonica Thun., is the main merchant variety of honeysuckle in Hunan. Nowadays, there have been wild researches on pharmacognosy, the technology of cultivation, effective chemical constituents,pharmacology and some other aspects of the certified honeysuckle . However, the study on L. macrathoides Hands Mazz. is limited to the simple characteristic description and the detailed transcription of the effective chemical constituents but the related pharmacology is lacked.In order to scientificly evaluate the medical value and the safety of L. macrathoide Hands Mazz. and to lay a foundation for the further study, development and use of this medicinal resource, this experiment mainly compared the quality and quanitity control of the effective constituents between L. macrathoide Hands Mazz. and the certified honeysuckle. The material was extracted by alcohol reflux and wet distillation respectively.The alcohol extraction solution was determined by TLC and UV spectrum The content of Chlorogenic acid and Caffeic acid in the samples were analyzed by HPLC.The constituents of essential oil of different samples were compared by GC-MS.The results were as follow:1,By TLC,the result showed the spot numbers and Rf of the specimens were identical,and there were spots corresponding to standard Chlorogenic acid and Caffeic acid in samples.2,The UV spectra of L. macrathoide Hands Mazz. were almost the same as that of certified honeysuckle;It showed that they had similar chemical constituents.3,Quantitive comparation of Chlorogenic acid and Caffeic acid by HPLC in the sample solutions showed:1)The percentage of the contects of Chlorogenic acid in L. macrathoide Hands Mazz. from the plant bases in Longhui,Xupu and Xinning were 3.9±0.4537,2.6±0.1408,4.5±0.0182 respectively. And the contents of Chlonogenic acid in the honeysuckle from the plant bases in Henan,Shandong and the medical market in Shandong were 2.4±0.1913,2.1±0.1684,2.5±0.0506 respectively.The content of Chlorogenic acid in L. macrathoide Hands Mazz. was higher than that in certified honysuckle.2)The percentage contents of Caffeic acid in L. macrathoide Hands Mazz. from the plant bases in Longhui,Xupu and Xinning were 0.0536 ±0.0063,0.0420±0.0086,0.0447±0.0033 respectively,but the percentage contents were 0.0477±0.0023, 0.0647±0.0065, 0.0454±0.0146 in the honeysuckle from the plant bases in Henan,Shandong and the medical market in Shandong. The content of Cafeic acid in L. macrathoide Hands Mazz. was almost the same as that in certified honeysuckle.4,By GC-MS,the result showed the essential oils of all different samples containted Linaiool,Geraniol,α-Terpineol and other components.
