Objective: This experiment drew support from in the earlier period experiment tosucceed the establishment experimental animal model platform. With the guide of the theory of TCM, to discuss the Therapeutic Mechanism of the pingwei powder treats dampness obstructing spleen-stomach syndrome by modern research method.Methods: This article reviewed the research status of dampness obstructingspleen-stomach syndrome and origin and development of pingwei powder, which providing a theoretical foundation for the experimental study. The experiment use the method of phloroglucinol to test the D-xylose of serum, radioimmunoassay and Enzyme-linked immenosorbent assay to test the intervention situation of pingwei powder to gastrointestinal hormone and the neurotransmitter, phosphorus measurement to test Na~+-K~+-ATP enzyme of brain tissue.Results:1. There was obvious decrease of D-xylose of serum of Model rats compare to rats of blank control group. There was no significant difference in D-xylose of serum between pingwei powder group and spontaneous recovery group, but general tendency of pingwei powder group much better than spontaneous recovery group. There was obvious increase of Substance P in intestinal tissue of Model rats compare to rats of blank control group. After the treatment by pingwei powder, no significant difference from Substance P in intestinal tissue between pingwei powder group and spontaneous recovery group. But in pingwei powder group, it was a downtrend. General tendency of pingwei powder group much better than spontaneous recovery group. There was obvious increase of Nitric Oxide in intestinal tissue of Model rats compare to rats of blank control group, and obvious decrease in rats of pingwei powder groups compare to rats of modern rats. Meanwhile, there isn't significant difference between pingwei powder group and spontaneous recovery group. There is no significant difference from VIP in intestinal tissue between modern rats and blank control group. 2. There was obvious decrease of Na~+-K~+-ATP enzyme in brain tissue of Model rats compare to rats of blank control group, and obvious increase in rats of pingwei powder groups compare to modern rats. Meanwhile, there is significant difference between pingwei powder group and spontaneous recovery group.Conclusion:1. Model rats of dampness obstructing spleen-stomach syndrome to be found gastrointestinal function deceased, gastric motility disorders and abnormal gastrointestinal hormone secretion in the earlier period experiment, Pingwei powder can intensify the gastrointestinal function and regulate gastrointestinal motility by modifying interrelated gastrointestinal hormone and neuro transmitters release in enteric nervous system.2. The activities of natrium pump be the one of the complicated pathogenesis, pingwei powder can enhance the activity of the Na~+-K~+-ATP enzyme of the model rats. It suggests that above-mentioned results be likely to some of multi - hierarchy and multi-targets therapeutic mechanism.
