Chankang capsule is a new compound preparation of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which consists of Herba Leonuri, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Radix Glycytthizae, Semen Persicae, Flos Carthami, Radix Salviae Miltiorrhiae and Rhizoma Zingiberis Preparata. It has the function of removing blood stasis and generating new blood. Therefore, it can be used to cure such symptom as blood stasis,stomachache and lochiostasis after childbirth.Under the guidance of the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chankang capsule was studied on pre-clinical pharmacy with modern pharmaceutical technology. For the demand of clinic, the form of drug was chosen as capsule. On the basis of the function and treatment as well as the characters of the component of the herbs, the optimum extract conditions about alcohol-extract and water- extract were selected by using orthogonal design in which quite a few assessing norms was use to evaluate them comprehensively. Meanwhile, the extract of volatile oil and the combination ofβ-cyclodextin with it have been completed. After that the quality standard of the Chankang capsule was finished, the content of Herba Leonuri in Chankang capsule was determined by TLS method. TLS method was utilized to identify Herba Leonuri, Radix Angelicae Sinensis and Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Radix Glycytthizae and Radix Salviae Miltiorrhiae. Then the preliminary stability was studied. The research indicated that the technique of preparation was reasonable and practical, and the standard was controllable and the quality of the sample was steady as well.
