PurposeXanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge is a Chinese particular folk medicinal and oil plant. However, the husks of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge have been abandoned objects, that have not yet been developed and utilized until now. This paper deals with the isolation and identification of the chemical constituents from the extract of the husks, chromatographic fingerprint, content determinations of total saponins and trace elements in several areas. Then it may be known the chemical components of the plants to a futher extent, then much more active ingredients are found. Thus they are fully developed and utilized for the abandoned husks of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge.Material and methodThis article takes the husks of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge as raw materials. With the help of column chromatography and spectroscopy so on, the husk extracts of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge were separated and identified; The HPLC fingerprint of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge was established, and the content of total saponins was determined by colorimetry; In addition, an ICP-MS method for the simultaneous determination of fifty kinds of microelement was established.Results and Conclusion1. By means of physics and chemistry constant, spectral analysis as well as chemistry method, 9 compounds were isolated from the husks of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge, 6 of which were identified to beβ-sitosterol(â… ), daucosterol(â…¡), 3-O-[β-D-galactopyranosyl (1â†'2)]-α-L-arabinofuranosyl(1â†'3)-β-D-methyl glucuronic acid-21, 22-O-diangeloyl-3β, 15α, 16α, 21β, 22α, 28-sixhy droxyl-olean-12-ene(â…¢), 3-O-[β-D-galactopyranosyl(1â†'2)]-α-L-arabinofuranosyl(1â†'3)-β-D-methyl glucuronic acid-21-O-(3, 4-diangeloyl)-α-rhamnose-3β, 16α, 28β-fourhydroxyl-22-acetoxy-olean-12-ene(â…£), 3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl (1â†'6)-[angeIoyl(1-2)]-β-D-glucopyranosyl-28-O-α-rharnnose(1â†'2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-21β, 22α-dihydroxyl-oleanl2-ene(V), 3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl(1â†'6)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-28-O-α-rhamnose(1â†'2)-[β-D-glucopyranosyl(1â†'6)]-β-D-glucopyranosyl-21β,22α-dihydroxyl-olean-12-ene(â…¥). The husk of Xanthoceras sorbifolia BungeD was isolated for the first time, and Xanthoceras sorbifolia BungeA, B, C were the new compounds. Thus we have the further knowledge and understanding to the Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge husk's chemical composition, seek to more active constituents, thus develop the new medicine to lay the important basis.2.The HPLC fingerprint of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge was established, in which 11 co-peaks were indicated. The similarities were determined by Cosine. The similarity result of analysis was 0.90-1.00. The established HPLC fingerprint showed good reproducibility and could be effectively used for the quality control of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge; In addition, the content of total saponins was determined by colorimetry. Result demonstration: it has differences about the husks of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge from different habitates.3.This article determined the of fifty kinds of microelement by ICP-MS and carried on the cluster analysis, finally indicated that the content of husks from different habitates has certain difference.
