Purpose:To study the related factors that affect the clinical efficacy of Facial Nerve Paralysis in order to provide a basis that will help to objectively determine the prognosis of Facial Nerve Paralysis and to effectively guide the clinical.Material and method:Collected and arranged the 131 cases clinical data of Facial Nerve Paralysis during May 2010 and March 2009 and entered these data into computer by using SPSS15.0 statistical analysis software to analyze the relationship between age, gender, the left (right) flank nerve palsy, pathogenesis, syndrome differentiation and disease cause, seasonal type, facial nerve injury, damage degree, history and treatment and prognosis factors,and analyzed the affecting prognosis factors of the Facial Nerve Paralysis.Results:1. The position of nerve injury, diabetes, hypertension, and the timing of the acupuncture therapy do the significant impact on the prognosis of the Facial Nerve Paralysis.2 There are positive correlations between Age, facial damage degree and the prognosis of Facial Nerve Paralysis.3 There is no significant effect between gender, left (right) flank nerve palsy, incentive, seasons, coronary heart disease and prognosis of the Facial Nerve Paralysis.Conclusion:1. The older patients, the worse prognosis.2. The damage nerve canal nearer to the central stage, the worse prognosis.3. The more damage on the facial nerve, the worse prognosis.4. The prognosis will be poor the patients who with diabetes and high blood pressure.5. The sooner acupuncture intervention, the better prognosis.
