In 1985, the Relics and Archaeology Institute of Xinjiang Weiwuer Autonomous Region conduted and investigation into rock arts at Biangqiangzi site, located at Balikun county, Xinjiang Weiwuer Autonomous Region.But this investigation did not cover all the samples until hami cencus team re-examined this site and detailediy filed all their findings including 180 rocks with over 300 rock arts carved on them in the third relics. These dates have a great important of quantities and contents. However, the article about the study of this contents are few.This thesis, based on these records and files,consist of four chapters, not including the conclusion.the first chapter introduces the current situation of rock arts studies in North China.The second and third chapter,the main body of the article, introduces all the findings about rock arts at the Biangqiangzi site. The methodology of typology is applied to study of the rock arts.Putting the materials related into different types and stages. Presentation of information in the rock art, the use of "site" concept, according to the content, styling and production methods and other factors of rock arts, all of a piece of rock art rock into several pieces. The forth chapter is to disscuss the date and nationality of rock arts at Baqiangzi.The research on Baqiangzi rock arts, on one side,is to introduce these new findings in a brand-new way,on the other side,it is an immature method to apply typological methods to the filing and research of rock arts,which proves to be feasible in qiongkeke rock arts.
