Purpose: Through investigating and analyzing the factors of medical students' test anxiety andits impacts on them, the study intends to provide specific guidance for psychological interventionof the test anxiety, and to enable the school mental health education was more targeted andeffective. Also it can provide reference for school management.Method: Psychological tests and questionnaires were conducted to survey a cluster sampling of4982 medical students in Shanxi Medical University. The questionnaires include generalquestionnaire, Test Anxiety Scale(TAS), Self-efficacy Comprehensive Questionnaire, CopingStyle Questionnaire, Cattell the Sixteen personality Factor Text or Questionnaire(16PF).Inaddition, the study collects their scores to research the relationship between performance and testanxiety. The statistical methods used in the study were T-sample analysis, correlation analysis,regression analysis, path analysis and ea tl. Demographic variables, Self-efficacy, Coping-style,personality factors were analyzed.Results:1)10.5% of the investigated Medical students have a high level of test anxiety.2)Test anxiety and academic achievement were not significantly correlated(p<0.05).3)The differences in students' test anxiety are significant among gender and grades.4)The correlation between test anxiety and personality are remarkable besides warmth andcreativity; Test anxiety and Self-efficacy are significantly negative correlation; The correlationbetween test anxiety and Coping-style are remarkable, test anxiety have negative correlation withproblem-solving and self-blame.5)Regression analysis indicate that adaptation and anxiety-type, self-blame, academicself-efficacy, type of emotional and serene alertness, fantasy, rationalization, grades, timid andbold type, inward and outward, general self-efficacy have effect on test anxiety;Path analysisshow that the adaptation and anxiety-type is the strongest predictor of test anxiety,it can predict29.6% of test anxiety's variance.6)Personality, self-efficacy and coping-styles have directly impact on test anxiety. Self-efficacyand coping-style sindirectly can affect test anxiety as mediating variables. Conclusion:1)The constitution of Medical Students' test anxiety is not optimistic.2)Personality,Self-efficacy and Coping-style affect test anxiety.3)The students' test anxiety can be improved through increasing Self-efficacy and changingCoping-style.4)Special attention should be paid for girls, junior medical students. School should carry outhealth education actively.5)In health education, we should pay attention to the cultivation of healthy personality ofstudents, improving students' Self-efficacy, adjusting students' Coping-styles in order to improvetheir physical and mental health.
