"han Feizi" Phrase Research

The thesis took the appositive phrases in Hanfeizi, one of the important books in Pre-Qin period, as research object. The abundant language facts were investigated carefully. On this basis the overall perspectives were described and analyzed in details. So that we can do a comprehensive research on the appositive phrases in Hanfeizi, and then grasps the characteristics, the development and evolution of appositive phrases.There are seven parts of the thesis. The introduction part briefly analyzed the topics significances, the current state of research and research methods. The first chapter defined the appositive phrases in Hanfeizi. Considering that appositive phrases can't be distinguished with subject-predicate structure, modifier-head construction and paratactic structure. The paper firstly introduced the basis on how to ensure appositive phrases, and analyzed the factors influencing appositive phrases.The second chapter is about the categories of appositive phrases in Hanfeizi. The classification of appositive phrases needed considering the basic semantic relations restricting elements among appositive phrases, and the effects of expressing factors. According to the standard, the paper classified the appositive phrases in Hanfeizi into semantic relations and the cognition mechanism of the appositive phrase, the lower position precedes the type appositive phrase and the main kind type of the appositive phrase. Then we concretely analyzed the different formats that existing in various types of phrases.The third chapter is about semantic relations and the cognition mechanism of the appositive phrase. The paper analyzed the semantic relations and constructed foundation of semantic relations and the cognition mechanism of the appositive phrase. The basic semantic relations between elements of appositive phrases were certain existing quality and certain modifying relationships, which are the basic restrictions of appositive phrases.Chapter four is about the lower position precedes the type appositive phrase. The paper respectively analyzed and described the kind of sign type, economize type and the congealment type of the lower position precedes the type appositive phrase.The fifth chapter is about the nouns'distribution and reclassification of appositive phrases of Zuozhuan. According to nouns'distributions in appositive phrases of Hanfeizi, the author reclassified and analyzed various nouns distributions.The last part is conclusion. According to the detailed description and analysis of appositive phrases of Hanfeizi, they basically covered the types of appositive phrases in modern Chinese. At the same time they reflected the characteristics of various appositive phrases in a certain extent.
