The Central Chinese Plain, which lies in the lower-middle reaches of the Yellow River, covers the area of today's Shanxi province, Henan province and Hebei province. In Five Dynasties, the Central Plain was directly ruled by the Empire.Since the foundation of the People's Republic of China, more and more tombs of Five Dynasties were discovered. By the end of 2010, the number of the tombs increased to 23, including 8 tombs with epitaphs. These tombs provide rich materials for the research on tombs in Five Dynasties. But the present research on tombs of Five Dynasties was mainly on general introduction, or on the tomb shape, tomb decoration and funeral objects of the important tombs, the comprehensive study of all the tombs as a whole is still a blank. Therefore, Through typological research, combining 8 tombs with epitaphs, the article studies all the tombs and their funeral objects, and divides the tombs of Five Dynasties into 3 period:the first period is from Late-Liang to Late-Tang, the second period is Late Jin, and the third period is Late Zhou.
