Cultural Psychology Of The Chinese People "villain" Study

Since Confucius proposes the "Jun Zi—Xiao Ren" personality type, the word "Jun Zi"was be used to describe one person who is a noble man, "Xiao Ren" was be used to describe one person whose moral quality is low. Stand folk psychology perspective, Xiao Ren not only is a personality type, but also is a special cultural phenomenon in Chinese traditional culture. For a long time, there are quite a few researchers developed some studies about Xiao Ren, but the studies about Xiao Ren in cultural psychology are very few.Xiao Ren was be despised all the time, but " Gold can't be pure and man can' t be perfect", they real without a single redeeming feature? Xiao Ren cultural phenomenon whether have an influence on people's mentality? These problems inspired me, this paper attempts to research Xiao Ren based on the indigenous culture and existing achievements in this field from a cultural psychology perspective, be aimed at finds Xiao Ren's merits and investigates Xiao Ren phenomenon whether have effect on university students' interpersonal trust. The study includes two parts:Chinese Xiao Ren's characteristics and the relation between university students' estimated Xiao Ren proportion and their interpersonal trust.Main research contents are Chinese Xiao Ren's characteristics and the relation between estimated Xiao Ren proportion and college students' interpersonal trust. Study 1:Use content analysis, let subjects associated the words can describe Xiao Ren's characteristics first. Then, merged and classified these words, explored Xiao Ren's merits. Last, the coding schedule about Xiao Ren's characteristics was be drawn. Study 2:By means of survey method and questionnaire, let subjects estimated Xiao Ren proportion in different historical period and different profession that it's subjects' individual idea. At the same time, measured their interpersonal trust score, after that, explored the relation between estimated Xiao Ren proportion and college students' interpersonal trust by statistical analysis.Main conclusions can be drawn as follows:(1)Xiao Ren's characteristics includes four dimensionalities:moral cultivation,means of communication,style and pursue,Xiao Ren's merits. (2)Xiao Ren's merits contains have quick wits,sociability,intelligent,eloquent, etc. (3)In each historical period, college students' the highest estimated Xiao Ren proportion is in the period of Reform and Open until today, about 39%; college students' the lowest estimated Xiao Ren proportion is in the period of Found a state until Reform and Open, about 19%. (4) In each profession, college students' the highest estimated Xiao Ren proportion is in the profession of businessman, about 39.4%; college students' the lowest estimated Xiao Ren proportion is in the profession of teacher, about 17%. (5)On the whole, estimated Xiao Ren proportion and university students' interpersonal trust have positive correlation, Xiao Ren cultural phenomenon have no effect on undergraduate interpersonal trust. But in all subitems, only town's college students' estimated Xiao Ren proportion and their interpersonal trust have notable negative correlation.
