"warring States" Polysyllabic Words

"Intrigues of the Warring States" is one of the most important corpuses in the Pre-Qin period of China, this works maintains a large number of the Pre-Qin period's words. The research of the polysyllabic word in this works can help us to know their characteristics in this period, viewing from other side. At the same time, this research can give us the law of development of the polysyllabic word in the Pre-Qin period.This article is devised in five parts:the first part is the introduction where it introduces you "Intrigues of the Warring States " and its popular versions, in the other hand, the actualities and the significance of the research "Intrigues of the Warring States" and of the polysyllabic word, in addition of the study methods which are used in this article. The second part is contributed to the textual judgment standard to the polysyllabic word. After having summarized the previous research achievements and considered the practical characteristics of " Intrigues of the Warring States ", the author gets the four main judgment standards:Grammatical Structure, Word Signification, Rhetorical Characteristics and Frequency of appearance. The most important parts in this research are third and forth parts, where we go to take a quantitative and qualitative research on the type and the composition formation of the polysyllabic words in " Intrigues of the Warring States ". The last part is for the summary of this article, based on the summary of the law of the polysyllabic words in " Intrigues of the Warring States ", the author will use the statistics software to analyze and compare the condition of the polysyllabic words in the others works, which were in the same period " Intrigues of the Warring States", finally the author help us to well find out the law of development of the Chinese Language.
