The historical sites which are state-owned and immovable, contributes to the particularity of the site museums building on the bases of them. The site museum is one sort of museum and social public institutions. The building, operation and function of it must be relevant to other social organizations and individuals.The site museum, the public and their relationship make up the content of public relationship of site museum. The public of site museums includes the audiences, the government and the mass media. The public relationship of site museums involves three aspects in accordance with the three types of public:the two-way communication between the museum and its audiences; the reciprocal interaction and confliction between the museum and the government; and the corporation between the museum and the mass media. This paper aims at investigating the public relationship of the site museums, clarifying the factors that influence the development of site museums, in order to help the site museums to make good use of the strong points and reduce the weak points, so as to give full play to its ability and realize the social values.
