The excavation of the Han silk manuscript Zhou Yi supplements certain social and historical conditions in its forming stage. It provides new materials for academic research on the relations between the Confucius and Yi Zhuan, the phylogeny of yi-ology and the intellectual history of yi-ology. Researching on these new materials has been a heated issue. Therefore, based on the above background, after discussion with my tutor Mr. Liu Bin, I decided to research on the Chapter Er-san-zi of the Han silk manuscript Yi Zhuan. This is the first article of Yi Zhuan and includes new materials about how to Solution hexagrams and Zhou Yi by Confucius. It vastly differs from other inherited articles which, with high academic value, will contribute significantly to our understanding of Confucius's status in the history of yi-ology and his yi-ology thought. This article will compare Confucius's interpretation of the remarks affiliated to hexagrams and the remarks at tached to the initial line of the hexagram in this piece to the original and contemporary meaning of the remarks affiliated to hexagram and the remarks at tached to the initial line of the hexagram in Zhou Yi and analyze them, and strives to comprehend the characteristic of how to Solution hexagrams and Zhou Yi by Confucius and the essential connotation of his yi-ology thought.This thesis mainly consists of four parts. The preface is a comprehensive overview of the Han silk manuscript Er-san-zi. In this part the author firstly introduces the writing purpose, the research point and the versions of annotation this research uses. Secondly, some versions of annotation which have been widely recognized are listed. Finally, the author methodizes the current research status of some hot issues in this article such as writing date, school attribute.The second part is a difficult part of the thesis, and it played the influential role in the paper writing which linked the preceding with the following. To study characteristics and modes of Solutioned hexagrams by Confucius, and we must first discuss and show that Confucius in the report is the real Confucius, not the pretended Confucius. In this part of the writing, I first conducted a review of current research on "Confucius said" issue of the academic community, and then explained and showed in detail that the person of account for Zhou Yi in the article is the real Confucius. Finally I obtained one conclusion that the age and the process of the book called silk should be very similar with The Analects.The third part is the main part of the thesis. First, by comparing and analyzing interpretation of the different versions text of academic community, the part seeks to grasp the meaning of this text. Then making a comparative analysis between interpretation of eighteen hexagrams by Confucius and original meaning or new significance of the remarks affiliated to hexagram and the remarks at tached to the initial line of the hexagram of Zhou Yi in order to get the modes of Solutioned hexagrams by Confucius and his yi-ology thought.Last is the conclusion of this thesis. Through the above study we have come that in the specific historical conditions, Solution Zhou Yi by Confucius modes and characteristics have both historical succession and historical creativity.
