Chu Culture is a civilization of long standing, and Chu Art has a glorious past.Chu Feng Wen is the indispensable creation element and important part of Chu Art.Chu Feng Wen, with beautiful and clever curve, rich and diverse shaping, is the wise crystallization of Chu people. "Phoenix worship" has its reasons. Modern artists in Chu area still use Chu Feng Wen as the main element of creation design and art works. It's necessary to us to studying Chu Feng Wen in-depth.Artists use a lot of Chinese traditional elements in creation. After understand the history and culture background, can we start a more reasonable creation again.Modern artists to the use of "traditional element" should be set upon the basis of "inquisitive"but "blindness"."Traditional element", used in modern design, its visual sense is changing according to the times. Modern works should be the continuation and development of traditional culture. Analysis the historical reasons of "Phoenix worship" in pre-Qin period and unique historical symbol significance of Chu Feng Wen.Second part:analyzes the Chu Feng Wen's beauty modeling and Jing Xiu achievement on the basis of different art and artifacts. This part divided into four sections:Chu Feng Wen in lacquer works, Chu Feng Wen in jade article, Chu Feng Wen in bronze ware, Chu Feng Wen in Silk fabrics. These four sections contained development of lacquer art, jade art, bronze art and silk fabrics art also.Third part:Analysis ChuFengWen's modern artistic aesthetic feeling, spread significance, social significance, and symbol meaning transformation on the basis of modern Chu Feng Wen works.Fourth part: Conclusion. Aggressive, romantic freedom, flexible art spirit has much to learn. To the second use and creation of traditional elements, designer must fusion of ancient and modern cultures, can we assure the traditional pattern design developed in a sustainable way.
