Eastern region of China's Indian-occupied territory is an inalienable part of China, while due to the modern British aggression of imperialist powers, the land border into British India strategic "buffer zone." In 1947, India gained its national independence, which is the inherited historical legacy of British imperialism. In 1954, India invaded and occupied the land of China's southern Tibet, which foreshadowing astern section of the border after the Sino-Indian border dispute. China has repeatedly border with India to negotiate this condition, but have been refused by India's Nehru government several times, and this caused the 1962 Sino-Indian border war, after that Sino-Indian relations walked into a cold war. In 1976, along with the deepening exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, the relations between China and India became warming and warming, and how to resolve the border issue also had been put on the diplomatic agenda of the two countries, but the legacy of the Nehru era border issues still confused and restricted the the main obstacle to the development of Sino-Indian relations. This paper is about the eastern border of Indian, described its origin and the status. The paper is divided into four chapters:The first chapter described the location and history of eastern region of China's Indian-occupied territory, the ethnic distribution of the population of the Tibetan local government on the administrative jurisdiction of the region, and the number changed when Indian occupanted the administrative division and management.The second chapter described the consolidation of British imperialism's colonial rule in India, they tried to establish a "buffer zone". The independent India inherited this disgraceful legacy of British imperialism (the "McMahon Line"), continued to occupy the whole territory of our land in southern Tibet, the aggressive actions directly led the Sino-Indian border conflict which is broke out in 1962. Until now this is still an impact which is a main obstacle to the development of bilateral relations.The third chapter analyzed the national identity of people who lived in eastern region of China's Indian-occupied territory. Although the time for Indian's occupation of southern Tibet is almost 60 years, but local people still got a strong identity of Chinese people. This condition will be a precondition and in favor of us in the border talks in the future.The last chapter described the special geographical location of eastern region of China's Indian-occupied territory, and geo-strategy is a main direction for China to develop the relations with neighbouring countries such as India.In short, the problem of eastern region of China's Indian-occupied territory will be a touchstone of relationship between China and India, and it will affect the two countries' long term peaceful and common development.
