The Kanjur Temple has been established for 200 years. It is one of the Tibetan Buddhist temples which established the earliest, the largest and the most far-reaching impacted in Hulunbeier region of Inner Mongolia. As we well known, this temple prestigious the temple was famous for country fairs on the history. This paper sort out the creation, destruction and repair processes of the Kanjur Temple. And do depth investigation to current situation of this temple by the research methods of cultural anthropology. On this basis, to discusse social function of the modern temples, combined with the theory of Religious Studies.This paper consists of five parts. The preface includes meaning of project, innovation of paper, research methods and so on. In the first chapter, described the Qinbarahu tribe believe in Buddhism and the historical background of this temple and the situation that the Kanjur Temple was destroyed before. In the second chapter, explain the background that the Kanjur Temple was rehabilitation. And analyze the survey and the problem that current situation of the monks, economic operation and existing rituals of the Kanjur Temple. In the third chapter, describes the secularization of religion and the functions in the current social. In conclusion, sum up this paper of main contents and basic arguments.
