Workers-peasants-soldiers art originates from"Talks at the Yan'an Forum on Literature and Art",rises from the founding of the state to the later period of Cultural Revolution, and exerts a tremendous influence over nationwide. But after the reform and opening-up, developing economy became national guiding ideology, large-scale public amateur art creation began to die, and the cultural phenomenon of the mass for the creation subject is very unique in the History of Modern Chinese Culture and Art. So research of art movement toward workers-peasants-soldiers has its important academic value. In this paper, it starts on the art of the peasants and soldiers being to rise, and art image types to reflect the unique cultural of MAO era. Finally it shows the modern features in the MAO era dominated by workers-peasants-soldiers art.In this paper, we hold objective attitude and the materialist point of view. We use History, Arts, Sociology, Stylistics, mass communication methods, as well as iconography and phenomenology with the basic method of visual culture. Through a large number of complex data, collation, analysis and induction, on the basis of previous studies, this pager tries to intensive study the unique appearance and cultural connotation of workers-peasants-soldiers art.This first chapter of this paper starts YAN'AN Speech, and establishes workers-peasants-soldiers subject status. It introduces briefly the revolutionary concept of popular art and the beginning of art of the peasants and soldiers. The second chapter summarizes the construction boom of new China, and how The New Movement influenced on art, and the rise of Fine Arts of workers-peasants-soldiers. In the third chapter, we focus on the six image types of workers-peasants-soldiers art. In the last chapter, the modern art of the characteristics are mainly shown from the aspects of the Popular and National, and etc.Workers-peasants-soldiers art is MAO Zedong literary strong performance, reflects the MAO era mainstream culture value system. And it not only serves the will of the state, but also had made great contribution for the modernization of China. At the same time, the study is not only for workers-peasants-soldiers art to show the MAO era culture appearance, also reveal a new interpretation of visual culture trend academic significance.
