Xi Murong is well-known by her poem,but,according to the writer, she can have a seat in literature field due to her essay which is the annotation of her poem. By reading her essay, we can easily enter into her world of poem. This paper tried to explore the artistic value of her essay. By analyzing the essay deeply, we can understand her works better, so that we can find out and reveal the value of her writings.Reading and analyzing the essay of Xi Murong as the main axis of this paper, using the theory of Social Literature issued by Shalhoub Escarpit the writer analyzed the background of culture rose by Xi Murong, and also the motivation of writing influenced by the background. This paper explored the fantastic life's story of Xi Murong, the achievement of the painting and the influence of her personality towards her works. The stroke as an artist, brought up her writing style. The lyric of essay's style poem, and poem's style essay are"poem, essay, painting"reflected as three in one. This paper also explored the connection between her essay and poem. Using the essay of Xi Murong as the object, reorganized the characteristic of the writing and artistic style. Through this analyze, hope to gain more understanding about the works of Xi Murong. By exploring her works, to ascertain the position and value of Xi Murong in the history of Taiwan's literature.This paper explore the background which is influencing the meaning of Xi Murong's works. The fantastic life's story, the painting art and the personality have a big influence towards her works.
