Internal Alchemy theory of Taoism is a body constraction process certering on life, and a practical approach to the problem confronting our very existence life and death. It demonstrates human beings? desire to transcend life and seek egoin a peculiar way. Cultivation of Internal Alchemy is the proess during which human beings develop internal vitality, acquire a pure positive body, experience the void and therefore transcend life and death. In this passage, the author makes some rough analyses about the internal alchemy theory, Wu Liu school of the way of total truth during Ming and Qing Dynasty. First ,the ideological origin and theoretical groundwork of this theory is traced back to .It is argued that this theory incorporates Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, and advocates the combination of Buddha and the immortal, the cultivation of inherent character and life itself. Second, some detailed discussion is made for the cultivation skill of alchemy spirit and life. Finally, the characteristics of internal alchemy theory, Wu Liu school are pointed out: it is a mature system encompassing three above-mentioned religions marked by obvious features of verification. All in all, this passage endeavours to analyse the contents of internal alchemy theory of Wu Lin school and simultaneously reveal the characteristics of internal alchemy ,through which we can see that the Internal alchemy theory in Taoism has shown the religious concern for all human beings during thousands of years of probe.
