The introduction of the thesis briefly gives us a tentativeexplanation of the 1ogical relation between the ethica1 properties, culture andthe Records of the Historian, then expounds the existence of the civi1izationof ethic in the book of the Records of the Historian.In the first chapter on the basis of the ethics, the author studies the civi-lization of ethic in it from the moral behaviors and the value background. Itexplains the social ethica1 values occuring in this book from the human rela-tionships: emperor and minister, father and son, the common interpersonalrelationships.In the next chapter, from the social political point of view, that is, theinteraction between the politics and ethic, the author probes the civilizationof ethic about the Records of the Historian, Furthermore, this chapter analy-ses this from the spirit of ethical politics, the realistic construction of the eth-ic and the idea1 construction of the ethic.In the last part, from Sima Qian's point of view, the author makes aprobe to the civilization of ethic in the Records of the Historian from his so-cial ethical idea1, his ethical attitude and his ethical thoughts.
