The preceding worthies had much engaged in archaeological studies about Lee Huo's behaviour, but they also had shortcomings such as not intimate or untouched. So in my thesis I paid attention to them in the first part, and I traced to the source and disputed false or true on "the Offsprings of King Zheng", "At the Entrance of a successful Candidate in the Highest Imperial Examinations","Creating Work Rapidly"and so on. Since there are too many biographies of Lee Huo, in the second part, I placed particular emphasis on the sources of the edition of song shu and the edition of Mongolia, and I compared them with the edition of wang kee so as to make the correctiom in Ye chongkee's book-the Poem collection of Lee Huo's and in Liu Yan's book-Proofread of Lee Huo's Poems. In the third part, the study of Lee Hou's poems was di- vided into two sections: the ones of stating ambition or expressing indig- nation and the ones of reflecting reality. I pointed out that, the gist of Lee Huo's over two hundred poems was"expressing misanthropic mood in written form" The former writers expounded a lot on the art achieve- ments of Lee Huo's poems, so in the fourth part, based on the source of Lee Huo's poems, I explored how it acted on the art succession and de- velopment of Chinese poetic circles.
