In the Chinese modern music history, Jiang Wen Ye is a composer who devotes to combining the western modern composing skill with eastern ethnic music style earliest and he has made certain contribution to the development of Chinese modern music.At one side, through the analyze of the piano essay "Bei Jin Wan Hua Ji" which is the first works of Jiang Wen Ye after he returned to China, this article sums up the new features of the style which is embodied when the western composing skill is combined with Chinese ethnic style in this works. At another side, through the comparison research with Jiang Wen Ye's previous works such as "Five Sketches", "Three Dance Music", "Duan Zhang Essay" and his latter works such as the piano music "Rural Music", this article finds the process in which Jiang Wen Ye's music has changed from the mixed style of "Chinese-Japan" and "Japan-Western" to the Chinese style. In this way, it shows the connecting affection that "Bei Jin Wan Hua Ji" has made in this "style-change" process. It is not only the continue of the music style when Jiang Wen Ye was in Japan, but also the exploration of Chinese style music. And this Chinese style is deepened and developed in his latter works "Rural Music". At the same time, it proves the historic meaning and value that "Bei Jin Wan Hua Ji" has made in Jiang Wen Ye's music creation process.
