Comparative Study Of Lexical Semantics. English-chinese Translation

Vocabulary is the most close joining point of human being language and their living experiences . In order to express the objective material world and subjective abstract thinking ,People should first select suitable lexicon. But different nations have the same and differences of living experiences. There exists the similarity and diversity in selecting vocabulary respect. This paper aims at a contrastive study of lexical semantic between English and Chinese in translation ,on the bases of language semantic phenomena both in Chinese and English especially from the respect of Comparative linguistics ,It analyses the lexical coincidence ,parallel ,lexical gap,indirect and direct ,and conflict with a view to revealing the differences and similarities and relationship between the two different semantic systems by using contrastive translation method in semantics. The result of study will promote foreign language teaching and translation. It will help to language communication..
