Among opportunities was the women literature of the 90's in the twentieth century. The prosperity of the market economy together with the great inflow of the western culture has brought about various changes to women's consciousness in the 90's.These deep changes in the consciousness has led to a flourishing multi-existence for women literature. Women's literary works, which embody the traditional and modern creative conceptions, have stepped one after another onto the stage of history.Taking the women's literary works of the 90's as the main object and from the following four aspects, characteristics of women's consciousness in the 90's, basic types of themes of women literature in the 90's, producing process of the themes and the evaluation on women literature of the 90's, this paper studies the themes of women literature under the influence of various consciousness, studies the comprehensive factors such as the psychological, social and cultural means and process, which have affected them, and at the same time generalize systematically its development. The author's viewpoint is that the emergence of the various themes of women literature is the outcome of the collision between women's awareness of freedom and the social and cultural restrictions on them.
