Secular Tendency Of The Greek And Roman Classical Art

The thesis analyses the secular tendency in the art of ancient Greece and Rome and its cultural background in the viewpoint of iconography and sociology. It is expected to be a complementary part to generally recognized qualities in Greek and Roman art: noble, pure, tranquil and great, so as to understand the classic art comprehensively. In addition, the thesis finally illustrates why Winklemann beautified the classic art in ancient Greece.
