Confucius Psycho-social Thought And Its Modern Value

Confucianism, which was established by Confucius, forms the main body of Chinese traditional culture; it has an important influence on the social culture and ideas & conception over two thousand years in China. Nevertheless, the plenteous and profound social psychological ideas in this theory, have greatly affected the social psychology and people's social behaviors of the nation till now, and forms the social psychological background of socialist modernization construction and education of ideological politics.Confucius's social psychological ideas are broad; they involve many aspects of social psychological, and make a comparatively complete conceptional system of social psychological. This article is divided into three parts: by coming the veins of Confucius's social psychological ideas, the first part digs into and discusses the conceptional system of Confucius's social psychological ideas, which includes social perception, social feelings, social motives of individual social psychology, and groups psychology and leading psychology by all- social psychology. By pushing forward the study on Confucius's social psychological ideas, the second part summarizes the characteristics of Confucius's social psychological ideas as five aspects:"Human is more important than God","Teacheveryone etiquette", "Preach Tao'", "Never blame God, never blame others" and "Peace is precious and always carry out middleof the road", and point out that Confucius's basis attitude to God-human relation is "Human is more important than God"; Confucius's basis principle to deal with people's relation, God-human relation and people-community relation is "Peace is precious and always carry out middle of the road"; the basic conception to individual-community relation is to emphasize the social impact and indoctrination on individual, which is "Teach everyone etiquette"; the important social responsibility of "Preach 'Tao'", and Confucius's broad and nice psychological characters of "Never blame God, never blame others". The third part puts Confucius's social psychological ideas under the process of market economy and economic globalization, and digs into the modern value of Confucius's social psychological ideas. The purpose is to assimilate and learn from the valuable parts of Confucius's social psychological ideas, and in the process of socialist modernization, carry forward the social-standard spirit, respect individual self-volition, preach the harmony among people, so as to create a good social psychological atmosphere for socialist modernization construction and education of ideological politics.
