In this thesis, we mainly study the influence of Modern Painting to Modern Design. Modern Design originated from the incitement of the Industrial Revolution. Industry Design began to develop from the middle period of 19 century. Through the catalyst and embryo in the second half period of 19 century, Modern Design gradually headed for mature while entering 20 century. However, the period from the end of 19 century to twenty or thirty years of 20 century was the key time that Modern design headed for mature and independence. In this time, how did it experience to conceive and develop to transmute a beautiful butterfly? What the most important inspiring and influence to us are? We study it from the angle of the Modern Painting in the thesis. We discover that the influence of Modern Painting to Modern Design is the key for Modern Design heading for mature .Modern Party Art has been disputing in history. But we can't deny that it breakthroughs classic and traditional and influences design thought. Its' exploring in the aspects of Form Beautiful is equal to say to pave road surface for Modern Design. Up to now,perhaps still someone can't accept Modern Party Painting, but anyway, he can't refuse the form pleasant impression that expressed in Modem Design. Abstract composing skills which are in the paints of Modern Party and After Modern Party are usually directly absorbed to Modern Design. Stereoscopic Doctrine, Future Doctrine, Constitute Doctrine , Style Doctrine and etc have been affected very much by the abstract composing skills. Some are adopted by Modern Design and some give Modern Design suggestion and convolsion in thought in these art skills of modernismse. They make designing coming out the shadow of formerly traditional ornament like painting and historical Compromise Doctrine. It really reflects the Time Spirit in industry social and heads for the independent road.
