This dissertation takes the early 20th century as the investigative scope of time, regards esthetic thought of Lu Xun as the investigative core object, and considers the esthetic thought of Liang Qi Chao, Wang Guo Wei, Cai Yuan Pei, Chen Du Xiu and Zong Bai Hua as the investigative radiated object. In order to grasp the multidimensional character of Chinese Esthetics in the early 20th century, I discuss the modern construction implication of Chinese Esthetics In the early 20 centuries from three angles : enlightenment, revolution and appreciation. On the ground of these, the following is the arrangement of textual construction and content:The first part is preface. Before entering the concrete argument, I make a concise elucidation about investigative object, method, way of thinking and narrative strategy for the text.The next is the main body. In this part, the dissertation discusses the thesis from three angles:Firstly, we discuss the modern construction implication of Chinese Esthetics in the early 20th century from the angle of enlightenment. In the sight of enlightenment, this dissertation takes the esthetic thought of Lu Xun, Liang Qi Chao and Cai Yuan Pei as research object, combs the enlightenment implication out of their esthetic thought, and puts great emphasis on discussing the modern value reconstruct of the traditional Confucianism and the modem inheritance of humanism spirit coming of the midlle period of Ming, which has produced a culture motive to the formation of enlightenment implication.Secondly, we discuss the modern construction implication of Chinese Esthetics in the early 20th century from the angle of revolution. In the sight of revolution, this dissertation regards the esthetic thought of Lu Xun and Chen Du Xiu as research object, combs the revolution implication out of their esthetic thought, and considers its cause of formation has two aspects: on one hand, the circumstances of Chinese history hi the early 20th century has an actual need for modern construction of Chinese Esthetics; on the other hand, the revolution implication is the symbiosis effect of the practical reasonable spirit/pragmatism coming from Chinese traditional culture and the evolutionism/Marxist coming from the western culture.Lastly, we discuss the modern construction implication of Chinese Esthetics the early 20th century from the angle of appreciation. In the sight of appreciation, this dissertation considers the esthetic thought of Lu Xun, Wang Guo Wei and Zong Bai Hua as research object, combs the appreciation implication out of their esthetics thought, and discusses its cause of formation which came from two factors: the modern conversion of traditional culture concerning individual life consciousness and the eastward march of German Esthetics .The Third is the complementary part. On the premise of summarizing the main body briefly, I make a simple present to the problems, which should been deeply discussed in the text but weren't because of the size of this passage.
