In the new era, the western literature thoughts and genres have been consecutively introduced to our country. They permeated all the aspects of our life and culture in either the obscure or the obvious way. Among them, feminist literary criticism surveys the literature history, present situation and the future development from an entirely new angle, so it has profound impact. However, the scholars and theorists in our country are not mere mechanical imitators. When they check the western feminist literary theory in the Chinese culture context, they find a lot paradox to our experience. This thesis intends to research: how the Chinese literature theorists carefully and dialectically discern the merits and demerits of the western feminist literary criticism based on China culture and literature present situation. They try to establish our own feminist literary when expounding the western theories.The whole thesis is divided into four sections.The first section: the general translating, presentation and research of the western feminist literary criticism in China.In the early 20th century, many theorists and writers have thought about the feminists' survival and liberation. And in the first ten years of May 4th when new literature originated and developed, the first feminist writers' group has formed in China literature history. While from the standpoint of the present feminine, the spread of the western feminist literary criticism should begin in 1981.The first period: From 1981 to 1987, it is the sprouting period of feminist literary criticism.The second period: From 1988 to the early 90's, it is the development period of the feminist literary criticism.The third period: From the middle phase of 90's, it is the flourishingperiod.The second section: expounding and creativity in criticizing practiceI Identification and ReferenceMany viewpoints of the western feminist literary criticism are in agreement with China researchers', and many essential theory arguments in our country's feminist literary criticism are even borrowed from the western countries.Firstly, introduce feminine viewpoints. Criticizing the man-centered phenomenon becomes the resonance of domestic and abroad feminist literary criticism.Secondly, seek feminine literature traditions. The critics in our country have already spared no pains to seek the feminine literary traditions. In the first place, they trace back the tradition; then they create the new era feminine literature.Thirdly, refer to the concrete criticizing method. The western feminist literature critics hold the view that the origination and development of the feminist criticism are closely connected with spirit analysis, structuralism, de-structuralism, neo-historicism and some other kind of present criticizing methods. Since the late of the 80's, the introduction of various concrete criticizing methods has been strengthened. Some feminist critics have attempted to put them into practice. II Diversity and InnovationFirstly, refer to society, race, class and such factors as horizontal references, so that the feminist literary criticism in China has wider visual angle with more intense ideology.Secondly, concern the feminist criticism nationality of the longitudinal reference coordinate. The feminism critics in our country pay great attention to the criticizing historical sense, and combine history withreality to explore the shape of the feminine image in domestic and abroad.Thirdly, the different choice in two inclinations: human feminism and female feminism. In the long run of contestation and criticizing practice, more western scholars choose the former while Chinese scholars are inclined to accept the latter.The third section: Reasons for DivergenceThe most important, the difference between China and western traditional culture is the history reason.First, western dualistic opposition and China yin and yang congruity affect feminist criticism differently.
