| Accepted the thoughts of Chinese tradition and western scientific education, Mr. Zong Baihua had the basic Chinese idea of " morals practicing, household supporting, nation ordering and world equaling". But as the man walked out of the indistinct fog of Chinese tradition, Mr. Zong Baihua's idea of life embodied his effort to blend the western and eastern cultures.The idea of artistic life of Mr. Zong Baihua's based on his own natural view artistic and aesthetic view and cultural view. He held the idea of 'Vitalizing of nature", "the realistic art", "cultural personification " and attempted to reform the life and mould the personality with the artistic measures. His "idea of artistic life" mainly was illustrated at three aspects: 1. sympathetic life attitude: one should be sympathetic towards life, regarding the pain and sufferings of others as his own, so he could experience others' situation. 2. the creating life engine: one's reason positively guaranteed his duty to his own and to others or society, and should make it reality as far as possible. 3. the life pursuits of freedom: when somebody held the life style of " ordinary mental state and solemnity "he would get the free and easygoing life, and so this is the most valuable life. His idea of artistic life present the distinct character of assimilating art and life, all-inclusive science and art. |
